Build your future.

In today’s business world companies have large amounts of data at their disposal. This material represents a unique lever to improve their performance and reputation. But most companies are not using this data to their full potential, for a simple reason: a lack of analytics professionals on the market.

The Executive Programme in Business Analytics (14 days - 2 days/week) comprises a blend of courses, practical exercises, as well as group and one-on-one coaching, enabling you to discover and practice the various aspects of business analytics (technical, analytical, the strategic and tactical, business facets, communication, and project management).

Key admissions criteria

  • University degree or relevant professional experience
  • Proficiency in English

Presented by Martine George, Academic Director

Martine George is Professor of Management Practice at the Solvay Brussels School where she teaches Data Science. She is also the Academic Director of the Executive Programme in Business Analytics of the school.

She has over 25 years of professional experience, including 15 spent creating and developing business analytics and customer intelligence teams within large organizations (Tractebel, Proximus, Bpost, ING, BNP Paribas Fortis) from different industries (Energy, Telco’s, Logistics, Financial Services).

A multidisciplinary set-up

Register three talents from different departments within the same company: business (marketing, sales, finance, risk, fraud,...), IT and reporting to get a truly integrated business analytics policy. Individual registration is also possible.

6 modules to discover the different facets of the discipline

1. Project Management

2. Data Technologies

3. Data Science

4. Business Transformation

5. Professional Skills

6. Integrative Project

Professionals with a business, reporting and IT background hold the keys to business analytics. Our executive programme has been specifically designed with such profiles in mind, enabling the key challenges posed by analytics to be incorporated into a multidisciplinary set-up

The Participants

Reginald van VLIET

Marketing Strategist, COLRUYT GROUP,

Participant 2017

Registering with different members from your organization gives you the chance to look at the challenges of other departments, to have different perspectives on these challenges and to come up with viable solutions.

Stanislas FRANSMAN

Senior Strategy & Economic Studies Analyst, ENGIE ELECTRABEL,

Participant 2017

I had very little experience with more advanced analytics, so for me the programme is an eye opener on the potential of this discipline. And more particularly it helped me to work better together with data scientists as I have now a better understanding of their language.

Nicolas DE MOT

Data & Reporting Manager EU, UCB BIOPHARMA, Participant 2017

I studied chemistry and the scientific approach is very important to me (gathering and analyzing data, defining models, creating insights, etc.) But when I started working in management I wanted something more actionable. And for me the programme in business analytics was the best way to combine these two things together: getting the scientific approach and the business impact that you can create. It gives you a broad view on what business analytics can be: the different tools, the different technologies, the right connections and how to leverage that in your own company.

Nicolas CLAUS

Application Manager, COLRUYT GROUP,

Promotion 2017

The programme covers a very large scope. Solvay gathered all the specialists and subject-matter experts around each of the areas in this programme and that makes it very interesting. As an IT manager, I now better understand the different contexts and interests in the other domains such as data analytics, marketing or business.
