The contents of education are described in curricula. AMFM curricula are programme learning objectives based (PLO) and structured into levels. The contents of the curricula are reviewed annually.

Vector

Programme Learning Objective (PLO): 

Learning objectives are statements that describe significant and essential learning that lifelong learners have achieved, and can reliably demonstrate at the end of the programme. Each course contribute in varios degree to the learning objectives (Not covered, Introduction, Reinforcement, Mastery)

Learning Outcomes (CLOs):

Course Learning outcomes are statement that  state the level of understanding and performance the learner is expected to reach upon engaging with the teaching and learning activities.

Teaching & Learning Activities (TLAs):

Teaching activities are to be understood as the methods used to help learners achieve the  learning outcomes. Learning activities are the different ways of implementing these methods. They are the experiences that allow learners to achieve learning outcomes.

What are the Programme Learning Objectives (PLOs)?

By the end of the programme, the learners will be able to: 

  • PLO 1.1 ... Display critical thinking and develop autonomous learning strategies and techniques
  • PLO 2.1 … Focus on sustainable development and demonstrate work ethics to foster  a socially responsible behaviour
  • PLO 3.1 … Work and communicate effectively as part of a team in an international and multicultural environment
  • PLO 4.1 … Adopt a scientific approach to quantitative and qualitative data collection, research and analysis and communicate results with clear, structured and  sophisticated arguments
